Live From The Library is excited to bring you programs and performances, especially for children ages 5-12, that will be magical, inspiring, and a whole lot of fun- all summer long! Take an exciting and interactive journey with award-winning STEM author Jennifer Swanson. Join us for this exciting new adventure about underwater forests, science, and research.
June 28- Jazz it Up! With Noteworthy Live Band
This workshop is an interactive jazz inspired program that explores varied styles and sub genres of jazz through fun activities for the participants. The goal is to develop an appreciation for jazz as an art form through listening to learn the appropriate moment(s) to engage/disengage, while also developing teamwork and unity through song. By showing how musicians relate to each other and communicate through the music, we are able to demonstrate how we develop our chemistry and present our collection of ideas to the listener.
July 5- Art-Z-Faces: Magic with Balloons
Balloons like books can take you wherever you want to go! Come and explore the power of Magic with this exciting balloon adventure
July 19- Shiva Robotics Academy
Join us for a Robotics Adventure with Shiva Robotics Academy! Do you like to build things or see how things work? Do you like to use your mental skills to solve everyday problems? This is a great opportunity for kids ages 5-12 to learn about LEGO Robotics, to meet and interact with a scientist or engineer, and to personally explore scientific facts through this live demonstration!
July 26- Jacksonville Zoo
All new storytelling event-“Adventuring with Animals" - where audience participation is key for this “Choose Your Own Adventure” style experience plus a visit with Jacksonville Zoo's Animal Ambassadors!
Attendance is limited, and is first-come first-served. Please arrive early to check in. Check in starts 30 minutes prior to the start of the program.
This program is intended for youth participants and their families. Large groups or organizations should send program requests to jplyouthservices@coj.net two days prior to the program. All requests may not be accommodated.
