Live from the Library

Ready for new and exciting experiences? Willing to be bold and make discoveries through interactive and hands-on activities? Live From The Library is excited to bring you programs and performances, especially for children ages 5-12, that will be magical, inspiring, and a whole lot of fun- all summer long! This Summer, “Adventure Begins at Your Library!” Adventures in Animals: June 6th Adventures in Science: June 27th Adventures in Music & Movement: July 25th

June 6- Jacksonville Zoo

All new storytelling event- “Adventuring with Animals" - where audience participation is key for this “Choose Your Own Adventure” style experience plus a visit with Jacksonville Zoo's Animal Ambassadors!

June 27- Jennifer Swanson, The Lost Forest: An Unexpected Discovery Beneath the Waves

Take an exciting and interactive journey with award-winning STEM author Jennifer Swanson. Join us for this exciting new adventure about underwater forests, science, and research.

July 25- Just Add Rhythm

Let's go on a sonic adventure and experience rhythm in a whole new way! We'll focus on the sounds of different drums, shakers, and Boomwhackers, and practice turn taking, sharing, and listening skills. Our programs are completely hands-on and interactive; everyone gets to drum! We use evidence-based concepts to encourage communication and social skills in a way that's fun and high-energy. Let's get drumming!

Attendance is limited, and is first-come first-served. Please arrive early to check in. Check in starts 30 minutes prior to the start of the program.

This program is intended for youth participants and their families. Large groups or organizations should send program requests to jplyouthservices@coj.net two days prior to the program. All requests may not be accommodated.
