History Chat is a one hour program in which E. Zimmermann "Zim" Boulos, long-time San Marco resident, local business owner, and community leader, speaks about the public sculptures in San Marco followed by an audience Q&A session.
Program Description: E. Zimmermann "Zim" Boulos will give the history and tell the stories behind outdoor sculptures in San Marco beginning with the Three Lions or Lions' Fountain in 1997 to the most recently installed butterfly sculpture, Transform, in Landon Park this year-- including San Marco Library's sign and sculpture, Revelation by St. Augustine artist, Joe Segal.
Zim is very active in the greater Jacksonville community, having served as Chairman of the Jacksonville Economic Development Commission. He also was a board member of the Airport Art Commission, the San Marco Preservation Society, Greenscape and Jacksonville Arboretum & Gardens. Zim and his wife Terry's involvement in the San Marco Preservation Society included raising $2 million in public and private funding to help with the historic San Marco Square renovation and placement of eight pieces of public art throughout the San Marco area, where he and his family have resided for decades.
