Nola D. Oracle is an award-winning filmmaker, author, and retired U.S. Army veteran from Jacksonville and Lake City, Florida. After her military service, she studied theater and scriptwriting at LaGuardia College and Africana studies at Brooklyn College before earning a business management degree from Rasmussen University.

Nola D. is also the founder and CEO of Diaspora Whispers Books, a publishing company focused on culturally enriching stories. She is the author of Amara’s Adventures: A Trip to Jacksonville, Florida’s African American Museums, a children’s book that follows an 11 year old girl exploring Black history and heritage. The story fosters curiosity and cultural pride among young readers.
