Imagine that book you’re writing or have always wanted to write sitting on the shelves at Barnes and Noble and being checked out by your neighbors from the Library. Whether you’re just thinking about your first writing project or working on the next chapter of your epic series, the Library’s Writing Lab will move your story along, break through writer’s block and get you ready to send that book to the editor.
Join New York Times bestselling author Susan Orlean for an hour-long workshop on how to get started, craft a lede, and gather your thoughts. Once we’ve mastered that, we’ll look at how to stick the landing. How do you write an effective ending? How do you bring your story to a satisfying close? There will be lots of time for Q&A about best writing practices and how to learn the essential skill of editing yourself.
