A batch of eager young cake enthusiasts will hone their skills in hopes of being named the Library's Star Decorator. The Great Library Frosting Lab is a sweet experience where young pastry chefs can learn the basics of buttercream and master the sugary arts of presenting delightfully decorated desserts. Allergy Warning: Please be aware that we will have contact with ingredients that contain or were made in a facility that also processes milk, egg, soy, tree nuts and artificial colors. If you are allergic to these ingredients, please join us for another lab. You are also welcome to check the ingredient labels for the supplies we will use for each program.
Get ready for a deep dive! Junior Labs is a program designed to give children between the ages of 9-12 positive experiences around books and support them in developing new skills.
Each 8 to 9-week lab will feature a high interest topic from the world of science, technology, engineering, art, or math. We’ll use a variety of materials to make learning come alive as we explore a different skill within that topic each week.
