Join us for a captivating and educational four-week program for children ages 5-12. In collaboration with Kash Kids, we are excited to offer an engaging series designed to introduce young minds to the world of financial literacy in a fun and interactive way. Through reading, games, and activities, participants will embark on a journey to discover the importance of money management, savings, and wise decision-making.
Week 1: Where Is My Money? - Unraveling the Mystery

In the first week, young learners will dive into the world of "Where Is My Money?" This delightful story follows a young girl who finds herself in a predicament when her money goes missing. Through engaging discussions and a lively buzzer game, children will learn about the concept of money, its uses, and the significance of managing it responsibly. The story's valuable lesson will be a springboard for conversations about temperance, responsibility, and understanding the sources of our spending.
Week 2: Cash Flow Adventures - Let's Talk Money

During the second week, participants will explore the fascinating realm of cash flow. Through interactive activities and group discussions, children will gain an understanding of how money comes in and goes out, providing them with a foundational grasp of financial basics. This session aims to empower young minds with the knowledge of how money circulates in our lives, fostering a sense of control and awareness.
Week 3 & 4: What Would You Do with 100 Bucks - Saving and Investing

In the final two weeks, the library's financial adventure continues with "What Would You Do with 100 Bucks?" Through this engaging book, children will explore the concepts of saving and investing. Each session will be filled with immersive games and activities that reinforce the importance of setting financial goals, making thoughtful spending choices, and even introducing the exciting world of investing at a level suitable for young learners.
Registration is required for this event, and must be completed two hours prior to the start time. A library card is required for registration. If you do not have a card, click here to obtain a card. Please add the name of each participant in the program when completing registration.
Attendance is limited. Please arrive early to check in. Check in starts 30 minutes prior to the start of the program. When the program begins, unfilled registered spots will be made available to customers at a first come, first served basis.
