Love LEGO? Flex your creative muscles and join us for LEGO Club. LEGO construction is a terrific way to encourage children to participate in science-related activities by building, designing and testing solutions. From cars to candy to custom houses, every meeting we will have a challenge to spark our imaginations, and we'll also have plenty of time for free building. LEGO Club is best for kids ages 5 and up. There are small pieces at this program and is not suitable for children under 5.

Come to the library and meet Kiwi: a super soft poodle-mix that loves kids, books, and cookies. Kiwi is a licensed therapy dog and knows over 20 commands. Read her a story, and she will be your new best friend! Kids in attendance will receive a special customized tattoo, sticker of Kiwi or a magnet of Kiwi (while supplies last). This event is for children ages 5-12. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration recommended. Walk-ins are first come, first serve.

The River City Readers Bookmobile will be delighting readers at Eartha’s Farm and Market! As the literacy challenge continues into its second year, Mayor Deegan, Kids Hope Alliance, Jacksonville Public Library and others are excited to bring the River City Readers Bookmobile message promoting literacy and a love of reading into every neighborhood in Jacksonville. Our bookmobile librarians can sign the whole family up for library cards and help you find the perfect book! We will visit monthly to encourage youth and their families to make reading and enjoying books an everyday activity.

Get ready to get creative! Junior Artists (ages 5-8) is a live art program. Each week we read an exciting book and then create artwork inspired by our theme.
Your child enjoys stories, music, and movement in a small, welcoming environment. That’s why our program, designed for children ages 2-5 with sensory sensitivities, combines traditional storytime components with supportive elements. We’ve also limited attendance to enhance the experience.

Get your game on with your friends and rivals as you race through destinations around the world in a Mario Kart World free play event. Check out a book to join. No prior experience is required to play. Contollers will be provided. Ages 8-17, Teen Area.
Join us as we welcome Penny, a therapy dog who loves to listen to children read. Bring the kids and let them practice their reading skills with a patient and loving therapy dog. She doesn't judge, and neither do we! Bring your own book, or choose one of ours. For children ages 12 and under.

Join us at Brown Eastside Library as we celebrate Native American Heritage Month by participating in making "God's Eyes," a Native American Craft. The God's Eyes originated from the Huichol, an indigenous group from Mexico. This woven craft was used to symbolize their prayers of protection over their children.
