Sensory Friendly Storytime (ages 2-5)

Your child enjoys stories, music, and movement in a small, welcoming environment. That’s why our program, designed for children ages 2-5 with sensory sensitivities, combines traditional storytime components with supportive elements. We’ve also limited attendance to enhance the experience.

January 27 – February 1
Theme: Under the Sea

February 3 - 8
Theme: Numbers
Featured Books: Grandma’s Tiny House by JaNay Brown Wood and Ten, Night, Eight by Molly Bang

February 10 - 15
Theme: Love
Featured Books: I Love All of Me by Lorie Ann Grover and My Heart is Like a Zoo by Michael Hall

February 17 - 22 (All Library Locations Closed February 17^th)
Theme: Opposites
Featured Books: Big Bear, Small Mouse by Karma Wilson and Outdoor Opposites by Brenda Williams

February 24 - March 1
Theme: Jungle
Featured Books: Do Crocs Kiss? by Salina Yoon and The Wheels on the Bus by Jane Cabrera

Registration is required for this event, and must be completed two hours prior to the start time. A library card is required for registration. If you do not have a card, click here to obtain a card. Please add the name of each participant in the program when completing registration.

Attendance is limited. Please arrive early to check in. Check in starts 30 minutes prior to the start of the program. When the program begins, unfilled registered spots will be made available to customers at a first come, first served basis.

This program is intended for youth participants and their families. Large groups or organizations should send program requests to jplyouthservices@coj.net two days prior to the program. All requests may not be accommodated.

Pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, accommodations for persons with disabilities are available upon request. Please allow 1–2 business days to process.
