This Junior Lit Chat Interview is a 30-minute presentation by local author Lena Shaqareq including time for audience Q&A. After the program there will be 30 minutes for a book signing with the author. A limited number of copies of How the Sun Got Its Light will be given away to registered attendees, first come, first served.
About the Author: Lena Shaqareq is the author of several books including “How the Sun Got its Light”, “Stanza Extravaganza”, and “Versed in English”. She’s an educator at heart having working in preschool, elementary and higher ed settings. Her expertise is in English as a Second Language where she focuses her business on and she loves working with people from around the world and learning about new cultures and languages.

Registration is required for this event, and must be completed two hours prior to the start time. A library card and PIN are required for registration. If you do not have a card, click HERE to obtain one.
PLEASE NOTE:
1. Seating for the program will begin at 12:30 pm.
2. The maximum capacity of this venue is 50. Registered attendees will be seated first come, first serve. Bring your library card (physical or on the JaxLibrary app) for faster check-in.
3. Waitlisted attendees and walk-ins will be seated if seats are available. There may be a short wait as registered customers are seated.
4. All registered seats will be forfeited at 12:55 pm and made available to waitlisted and walk-in attendees. Registered attendees arriving after this time will be seated if seats are available.
5. A limited number of books will be given to school-age kids in attendance, first come, first serve.
