The desire to be published is more prevalent than ever. A record-breaking number of aspiring writers from all walks of life dream about becoming published authors but are stumped about which road to publication they would like to travel. Leticia’s presentation will give aspiring and seasoned authors alike the good, bad, and ugly of these two methods of publication. By the end of the presentation, attendees will have gained a better understanding and perhaps the clarity needed to decide whether they have the stomach to take the traditional publishing route (with the help of a literary agent) or strike out on their own to publish their literary masterpiece.
PRESENTER BIO: Leticia Gomez is the Editorial Director for Dafina Books, an imprint of Kensington Publishing Corp., which focuses on traditionally publishing high-quality fiction and nonfiction that centers on race, identity, and its impact on our experiences. Prior to joining the Kensington family, Leticia was a prominent literary/film/television agent who specialized in bringing culturally diverse voices to the forefront.
All writing levels welcome!
PLEASE NOTE: Leticia is actively seeking to acquire multicultural historical fiction and nonfiction in all genres and subgenres including historical romantic suspense, alternative history, historical adventure and psychological thrillers, historical mystery thrillers, military history, true crime historical, historical narrative nonfiction and historical biographies.
