This Junior Lit Chat Interview is a 30-minute presentation by author Oge Mora including time for audience Q&A. After the program there will be 30 minutes for a book signing with the author. A limited number of copies of Saturday will be given away to registered attendees, first come, first served.
About the author: Oge Mora is a collage artist and storyteller. Her picture book, Thank You, Omu!, was a Caldecott Honor, Coretta Scott King/John Steptoe New Talent Award winner, and Ezra Jack Keats Book Award recipient. Her second book, Saturday won the 2020 Boston Globe—Horn Book Picture Book Award. Oge’s artwork has been applauded by The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Boston Globe. She is also a 2021 Forbes 30 Under 30 Lister in Arts & Style.
Oge grew up in Columbus, Ohio but resides in Providence, RI. She is a fan of all things colorful, patterned, or collaged, and enjoys creating warm stories that celebrate people coming together.

Registration is required for this event, and must be completed two hours prior to the start time. A library card and PIN are required for registration. If you do not have a card, click HERE to obtain one.
PLEASE NOTE:
1. Seating for the program will begin at 9:30 am.
2. The maximum capacity of this venue is 100. Registered attendees will be seated first come, first serve. Bring your library card (physical or on the JaxLibrary app) for faster check-in.
3. Waitlisted attendees and walk-ins will be seated if seats are available. There may be a short wait as registered customers are seated.
4. All registered seats will be forfeited at 9:55 am and made available to waitlisted and walk-in attendees. Registered attendees arriving after this time will be seated if seats are available.
5. A limited number of books will be given to school-age kids in attendance, first come, first serve.
