Come to the library and meet Kiwi: a super soft poodle-mix that loves kids, books, and cookies. Kiwi is a licensed therapy dog and knows over 20 commands. Read her a story, and she will be your new best friend! Kids in attendance will receive a special customized tattoo, sticker, or a magnet of Kiwi (while supplies last). This event is for children ages 5-12. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration recommended. Walk-ins are first come, first serve.

Adventure with us at the Highlands branch in Conference Room B where we will play Dungeons & Dragons! No previous experience needed. Character sheets, dice, and minis will be provided. A Taste of Genealogy is a collaborative experience where hobbyists like yourself help one another expand family trees using tools available through the Jacksonville Public Library. Staff and volunteers will offer assistance to those who have no experience and would like to begin their family research journey. Adoptees are welcome. Attention, Junior Scientists! This STEM-based program for ages 5–8 features a book and science activities that encourage deep thinking, inquiry, and fun. Each week we will use a variety of materials to explore a scientific concept.
