Stephanie Mazzeo is an award-winning makeup artist and SFX specialist with over 30 years of experience in film, TV, music videos, commercials, and print. Stephanie delivers transformative beauty and gore effects for indie and major productions, including "It's Florida, Man", "Collector's Call" and "An Accidental Zombie (Named Ted)".

About the program: In this high-energy 60-minute session, you’ll master a battle-tested, ultra-quick technique to create convincing bruises, cuts, scrapes, and fresh gore.

By the end of the workshop you will confidently be able to:

  • Produce realistic fresh, mid-stage, and old bruises
  • Build believable open wounds, oozing cuts and gashes
  • Achieve gritty, “street-fight” texture fast with everyday tools (stipple sponges, chip brushes, Q-tips)
  • Work cleanly and safely

Perfect for indie filmmakers, theatre artists, cosplayers, and beginner-to-intermediate makeup artists who need reliable, camera-ready trauma effects in minutes using affordable, widely available products. You’ll leave with a repeatable system you can use the same day.

About the Presenter: Stephanie Mazzeo is an award-winning makeup artist and SFX specialist with over 30 years of experience in film, TV, music videos, commercials, and print. Her career ignited in 1992 near Philadelphia, where she crafted bold stage looks for the KISS tribute band Miss-Behavin', sparking a passion that propelled her cross-country. Now based in North/Central Florida—serving Orlando, Jacksonville, Daytona Beach, and beyond—Stephanie delivers transformative beauty and gore effects for indie and major productions, including "It's Florida, Man", "Collector's Call" and "An Accidental Zombie (Named Ted)". A featured member of Women in Film & Television Florida, she blends basic beauty makeup with gritty on-set hair and trauma simulations, always ready to jet off for the next creative rush.
