Center for Adult Learning ClassroomThis group provide a non-judgmental and supportive environment for adult writers (18 and older) of any skill level to share their work. Sharing works in progress, expanding on ideas about their writing and gaining general feedback are encouraged. Through discussion and questions, this group is meant to support self-expression and help lessen blocks/barriers to creativity and expand your writing skills!
Are you a writer wanting to connect with other writers? Do you want to increase your self-confidence in writing? Need ideas to start your next writing piece or seeking feedback on your latest personal project? Want to learn various ways of coping with writer’s block, finding inspiration, or bringing back the spark of motivation? Participants will be able to share their pieces of writing with their peers. Works can be in progress, or can be outlines to potential works. Writing samples can be from any genre or format.
In this group our goals are:
- Connect & foster support with fellow writers
- Discuss your ideas, challenges, works in progress in an open, welcoming environment;
- Receive constructive feedback
- Increase your writing self-confidence
- Find inspiration, get peer feedback, & tackle writer’s block
We meet 2 or 3 times a month. Bring your favorite writing tools and a notebook/paper/laptop/iPad to take notes, and participate in free writing, and writing activities.
