Does your child learn best with paint, paper, popsicle sticks and glue? Add in a book and some games and you’ve got the perfect program for your little artist.
Get ready to get creative! Junior Artists (ages 5-8) is a live art program on Zoom. Each week we read an exciting book and then create artwork inspired by our theme. Program materials are basic art supplies. Each month we have a new art kit with its own art project available at all open library branches. Some of the program supplies may be found in that kit.

Theme: Hispanic Heritage Month: Family
Featured Book: Alma and How She Got Her Name by Juana Martinez-Neal
Supplies:
• Oil pastels (can be substituted for crayons)
• Pencil
• toothpick for scraping
• A quarter sheet of cardstock
• 1 piece of computer paper or scrap computer paper

Supplies:
• Mixed media paper or cardstock
• Pencil and eraser

Supplies:
• Pencil and eraser
• Water Color Pencils or water color paints
• Cup of water
• 1 paint brush
• Mixed media paper or cardstock
Registration is required for this event, and must be completed two hours prior to the start time. A library card is required for registration. If you do not have a card, click here to obtain a card.
Attendance is limited. Your Zoom name must match your registration name for you to be admitted to the program. A link to the Zoom meeting room will be sent 1 hour prior to the event.
