Imagine that book you’re writing or have always wanted to write sitting on the shelves at Barnes and Noble and being checked out by your neighbors from the Library. Whether you’re just thinking about your first writing project or working on the next chapter of your epic series, the Library’s Writing Lab will move your story along, break through writer’s block and get you ready to send that book to the editor.
It all starts with an idea: In this workshop, graphic novelist Michael Regina will share his process for idea creation when writing his graphic novels. In this workshop, Michael Regina will discuss how to nurture an idea from a nugget of inspiration into a book you can't wait to share with the world.
Michael Regina has been drawing comics since the third grade, and his passion for art and storytelling has stayed with him his whole life. He studied painting and drawing at the University of North Florida and minored in literature. Michael is also the creator of the Webtoons.com featured comic Adamsville. When he’s not making comics, he loves fishing, rooting for the Jacksonville Jaguars, and spending time with his family. They all live in Jacksonville, Florida.
