In this workshop, we will all share some of our favorite books, study the specific techniques the authors use, and write about our own relationship with books.
Join us for a writing circle with Jennifer Wolfe of Women Writing for (a) Change!
For the Love of Books: For many of us, books are our cherished companions, providing inspiration, ideas, and possibilities. They also document real-life experiences that we all need to hear, as well as fiction to help us understand and dream. Books are the keepers of our human story. As writers, we learn to write by reading; it’s a necessary part of our practice. In this workshop, we will all share some of our favorite books, study the specific techniques the authors use, and write about our own relationship with books. We’ll use several techniques to produce different kinds of writing and share our words with each other. We’ll walk away with a checklist of how to become a better reader, a better writer, and a better supporter of the freedom to read books in our community—especially our public libraries! Join us for a well-facilitated, thoughtful workshop that will help us all build a stronger community, too.
