Join the Jacksonville Public Library to watch the classic silent film “The Flying Ace” released in 1926 by Norman Studios! “The Flying Ace” is a black and white film featuring an all African American cast with principal photography in Jacksonville FL. After the film, we will hear from guest speakers from Norman Studios Silent Film Museum, who will talk about the film, African Americans in film at the time, and the Flying Ace’s impact.
Plot Description: When a war hero returns to his former job as a railroad company detective, he must capture a gang of railroad thieves and recover $25,000 of company cash.
Registration is required for this event, and must be completed two hours prior to the start time. A library card and PIN is required for registration. If you do not have a card, click HERE to obtain one.
