Join the Jacksonville Public Library to watch the documentary "Just Another Bombing?" released in 2024 by Hal Jacobs. After the film, we will hear from guest speakers Donal Godfrey, Hal Jacobs, and Iona Godfrey King who will talk about the film and their lives connecting to it.
Plot Description: "Just Another Bombing?: This is Donal and Iona's Story" takes audiences on a poignant journey through a little known incident of the 1960s Civil Rights era. Iona Godfrey King and her son Donal Godfrey share their deeply moving account of surviving the Klan bombing of their home with three other family members on February 16, 1964, in Jacksonville, Fla.
Registration is required for this event, and must be completed two hours prior to the start time. A library card and PIN are required for registration. If you do not have a card, click HERE to obtain one.
