Come to the library and meet Kiwi: a super soft poodle-mix that loves kids, books, and cookies. Kiwi is a licensed therapy dog and knows over 20 commands. Read her a story, and she will be your new best friend! Kids in attendance will receive a special customized tattoo, sticker of Kiwi or a magnet of Kiwi (while supplies last). The River City Readers Bookmobile will be delighting readers at Eartha’s Farm and Market! As the literacy challenge continues into its second year, Mayor Deegan, Kids Hope Alliance, Jacksonville Public Library and others are excited to bring the River City Readers Bookmobile message promoting literacy and a love of reading into every neighborhood in Jacksonville. Our bookmobile librarians can sign the whole family up for library cards and help you find the perfect book! We will visit monthly to encourage youth and their families to make reading and enjoying books an everyday activity.
