This Lit Chat Interview is a 60-minute program consisting of a 40-minute conversation between author Kaira Rouda and interviewer followed by 20 minutes of audience Q&A. A book signing will follow, with books available for sale on site, San Marco Books and More.

About the Author: Kaira Rouda is a USA TODAY, Amazon #1, and international bestselling author. Kaira Rouda is the author of novels that dig beneath the surface of seemingly perfect lives. Known for her novels, Best Day Ever, The Next Wife, and more. Reviews have touted her novels as “pure genius”, “an exceptional psychological thriller”, and promising to “keep you at the edge of your seat.” To date, Kaira’s work has been translated into more than a dozen languages, and Beneath the Surface has been optioned for feature film.

Registration is required for this event, and must be completed two hours prior to the start time. A library card and PIN are required for registration. If you do not have a card, click HERE to obtain one.

PLEASE NOTE:

1. Seating for the program will begin at 5:00 pm.

2. The maximum capacity of this venue is 50. Registered attendees will be seated first come, first serve. Bring your library card (physical or on the JaxLibrary app) for faster check-in.

3. Waitlisted attendees and walk-ins will be seated if seats are available. There may be a short wait as registered customers are seated.

4. All registered seats will be forfeited at 5:25 pm and made available to waitlisted and walk-in attendees. Registered attendees arriving after this time will be seated if seats are available.

5. A limited number of books will be available for sale on site by San Marco Books and More.

Need help preparing to take the GED Tests? Schedule an intake appointment to register for GED test prep classes. The next one is the in-person intake Friday, 6th of February at 10:00 am. It is located on the ground floor in the back right corner, E124 is the classroom. This is in the Main Library at 303 N Laura Street, Downtown. Make sure to use the parking garage at 33 W Duval St, Jacksonville, FL 32202 or a parking meter. If you park in the garage, bring your parking ticket to your appointment, so we can instruct you on getting it validated before you leave. Please no children allowed, you will be taking a reading assessment. Please be on time because we will close the door at 1010 am. The process usually lasts until 1130 am.

This event is for children ages 5-12. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration recommended. Walk-ins are first come, first serve.
