Is there anything more magical than getting lost in a good book? Well, maybe an actual magician. Live from the Library turns the stacks into your new favorite performance venue, bringing entertaining and educational performers – including musicians, animal handlers, dancers and yes, even magicians! – to showcase their talents for children ages 5 to 12. June 20th - Jennifer Swanson - Footprints Across the Planet

Take an exciting and interactive journey with award-winning STEM author Jennifer Swanson and learn how every organism, big or small, leaves an imprint on our planet— with their feet, their words, their actions-- even YOU! Whether human or animal, voices or activity, each mark has a purpose. But what does that mean? And how can we help to ensure that our impact will make a difference? Through activities and interactive discussions, together we’ll discover that it’s up to every one of us to decide what type of imprint we will leave behind.  

June 27th - Wild Wonders – Scaly Sensations

Wild Wonders is proud to present “Scaly Sensations”, an interactive program that is both educational and entertaining for all ages. This program includes local and exotic reptiles that goes into their interesting habits and backgrounds. It uses story, music and humor to enhance and excite learning of our natural world. Of course, we will also have a few warm fuzzies in the program. Children and adults will be asked to help us hold selected animals. Come see this interesting program and join us as we explore the colorful and exciting world of reptiles.

Registration is required for this event, and must be completed two hours prior to the start time. A library card is required for registration. If you do not have a card, click here to obtain a card. Please add the name of each participant in the program when completing registration.

Attendance is limited. Please arrive early to check in. Check in starts 30 minutes prior to the start of the program. When the program begins, unfilled registered spots will be made available to customers at a first come, first served basis.
