Live from the Library turns the stacks into your new favorite performance venue, bringing entertaining and educational performers – including musicians, animal handlers, dancers and yes, even magicians! – to showcase their talents for children ages 5 to 12. June 14th - Just Add Rhythm – Adventures in Drumming
Let's go on a sonic adventure and experience rhythm in a whole new way! We'll focus on the sounds of different drums, shakers, and Boomwhackers, and practice turn taking, sharing, and listening skills. Our programs are completely hands-on and interactive; everyone gets to drum! We use evidence-based concepts to encourage communication and social skills in a way that's fun and high-energy. Let's get drumming!

Let's Work All Together on an Adventure with your Fairy Godmother, Dragons, Princesses, Knights and More! It's an interactive Magical puppet adventure presented by Clowns!
June 28th - Jennifer Swanson - Footprints Across the Planet
Take an exciting and interactive journey with award-winning STEM author Jennifer Swanson and learn how every organism, big or small, leaves an imprint on our planet— with their feet, their words, their actions-- even YOU! Whether human or animal, voices or activity, each mark has a purpose. But what does that mean? And how can we help to ensure that our impact will make a difference? Through activities and interactive discussions, together we’ll discover that it’s up to every one of us to decide what type of imprint we will leave behind.
Registration is required for this event, and must be completed two hours prior to the start time. A library card is required for registration. If you do not have a card, click here to obtain a card. Please add the name of each participant in the program when completing registration.
Attendance is limited. Please arrive early to check in. Check in starts 30 minutes prior to the start of the program. When the program begins, unfilled registered spots will be made available to customers at a first come, first served basis.
