Junior Scientists (ages 5-8)

Attention, Junior Scientists! This STEM-based program for ages 5-8 features a book and science activities that encourage deep thinking, inquiry, and fun. Each week we will use a variety of materials to explore a scientific concept.

Here is the list of this month’s books:

Feb. 17–Feb. 22 & Feb. 24–March 1

March 3–8 & 10–15
Theme: Women’s History
Featured Book: Tiny Jumper: how Tiny Broadwick created the parachute rip cord by Candy Dahl

March 17–22 & 24–29
Theme: Spring
Featured Book: Little Dandelion Seeds the World by Julia Richardson

March 31–April 5 & 7–12
Theme: Color Quest
Featured Book: Perkin's Perfect Purple: How a Boy Created Color with Chemistry by Tami Lewis Brown

Attendance is limited and is first-come first-served. Please arrive early to check in. Check in starts 30 minutes prior to the start of the program. Late entry will not be permitted after 15 minutes past the program’s start time.

This program is intended for youth participants and their families. Large groups or organizations should send program requests to jplyouthservices@coj.net two days prior to the program. All requests may not be accommodated.
