Study Room 122Come to the Argyle Library and give your child an opportunity to practice their reading skills one-on-one with Gabby, a trained Therapy Dog! Registration at the Children's Reference Desk is first-come, first-served as time allows.
Reading to dogs can boost reading skills in children as well as help with emotional and social skills, giving your child the opportunity to read to a canine buddy or companion in a safe and nonjudgmental environment. Drop-in between 4:00 and 5:00pm pm every other Monday to give your child an opportunity to practice their reading skills one-on-one with Gabby! Spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. This activity is for all ages (everyone). Please sign-up in the Children's department during the hour before Gabby's arrival or as you arrive. Attendance is limited.
