Live From The Library is excited to bring you programs and performances, especially for children ages 5-12, that will be magical, inspiring, and a whole lot of fun- all summer long! June 6- Jazz it Up! With Noteworthy Live Band
This workshop is an interactive jazz inspired program that explores varied styles and sub genres of jazz through fun activities for the participants. The goal is to develop an appreciation for jazz as an art form through listening to learn the appropriate moment(s) to engage/disengage, while also developing teamwork and unity through song. By showing how musicians relate to each other and communicate through the music, we are able to demonstrate how we develop our chemistry and present our collection of ideas to the listener.
June 20- Dadician, The Family Magician
Dadician- the Family Magician is proud to present The Magic of Imagination! A fun family program where we discover that by using our imagination and working together we can fill our lives with magic.
June 27- Jacksonville Zoo
All new storytelling event-“Adventuring with Animals" - where audience participation is key for this “Choose Your Own Adventure” style experience plus a visit with Jacksonville Zoo's Animal Ambassadors!
July 11- Clark’s Critters Reptile Show
Clark’s Critters provides fun and educational reptile shows for all ages! Experience a once in a lifetime chance to meet these unique animals up close and in person!
July 18- Jennifer Swanson, The Lost Forest: An Unexpected Discovery Beneath the Waves
Take an exciting and interactive journey with award-winning STEM author Jennifer Swanson. Join us for this exciting new adventure about underwater forests, science, and research.
July 25- Grow Youth Universal
Caribbean Cultural drum and dance, Folk Songs, and Anansy Stories with Sis Jahmayka Green, Co-Founder of Grow Youth Universal
Attendance is limited, and is first-come first-served. Please arrive early to check in. Check in starts 30 minutes prior to the start of the program.
This program is intended for youth participants and their families. Large groups or organizations should send program requests to jplyouthservices@coj.net two days prior to the program. All requests may not be accommodated.
