Cautionary Tales book club explores science fiction, horror, and thrillers with a slant towards cautionary tales. The club will delve into the frightening nature of horror stories, the cautionary aspects of many science fiction stories, and the page turning events within thriller novels.

Adventure with us at the Highlands branch in Conference Room B where we will play Dungeons & Dragons! No previous experience needed. Character sheets, dice, and minis will be provided. Table is limited to 6 players per Dungeon Master. Registration encouraged but not required. (Ages 12 and up).

Drop-in and join other toddlers at the library to play!

Students discover what makes a sea turtle unique, learn about the species found in Florida, explore their adaptations and nesting process, and find out how they can help protect these animals. They then take part in “Rehab or Release?”, a hands‑on activity where they act as biologists, collect data on a model sea turtle, and decide whether it’s ready to return to the ocean or needs rehabilitation.
