Come join us during Art Walk for our beautiful art, our energetic music, and, of course, books!
The Jacksonville Public Library is open late for downtown Art Walk every first Wednesday of the month! Art Walk is 6 pm to 9 pm.
Join in the creativity and experience the enthusiasm for local art at the Jacksonville Public Library. For Art Walk, the entire library is open late to 9pm. We host an assortment of fantastic and eclectic regional and national artists in our main gallery space and just outside, facilitated by the The Art Center Cooperative, Inc. Explore the library's entryway promenade and connect with a variety of impactful community partners. Come into our Teen department during Art Walk for hand-selected art kits and visit the fourth floor for a look at our map room and Grand Reading Room.
For this month, we are continuing our celebration of the Jacksonville's Bicentennial with our sprawling Bicentennial Gallery. This historically-rich gallery features work from an assortment of acclaimed Jacksonville artists, covering such landmarks as Main Street Bridge, the Riverfront, and Norman Studios. The gallery also plays homage to our history with models of pirate ships, carriages, and photographs from Jacksonville's last 100 years.
Come say hello to youth-business group, Global Shapers Jacksonville, in our promenade, and indulge in the some music by the very talented 9B Woodwind Quartet. Dive deep into the zine collection alongside local art enthusiasts with our Zinester Meetup.
Between the music and the energy, the art and the many (many!) books, the Jacksonville Public Library is the place to be every first Wednesday of the month.
